Randomization and Causality

The “gold standard” for establishing that one thing caused another.

• Correlation != Causality: Just because two things move together doesn’t mean one caused the other (e.g., ice cream sales and shark attacks).
• Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT): Eliminating selection bias by randomly assigning participants to treatment or control.
