Bayesian vs. Frequentist

Two different philosophies of statistical inference.

• Frequentist: Probability is the limit of relative frequency. Only uses data from the current experiment.
• Bayesian: Probability represents a degree of belief. Uses a “Prior” (previous knowledge) which is updated by new “Evidence” to form a “Posterior.”
